Iohannes Dei gratia rex Anglie dominus Ybernie etc.  Sciatis nos reddidisse et concessisse et presenti carta confirmasse dilecto nostro Willielmo de Ferrariis comiti de Dereby tertium denarium de omnibus placitis per vicecomitatum in toto comitatu de Dereby tam in Dereby quam extra unde ipse comes est sicut unquam aliquis antecessorum suorum illum melius habuit, tenendum sibi et heredibus suis de nobis et heredibus nostris imperpetuum, et ipsum tanquam comitem propria manu gladio cinximus.  T(estibus) W(illelmo) London' et H(erberto) Sarum' episcopis, G(alfrido) filio Petri com(ite) Essex, Ranulph(o) com(ite) Cestr', W(illelmo) Maresc(allo) com(ite) de Penbroc', Willelmo de Braiosa, Willelmo filio Alani.  Dat' per manum H(uberti) Cant' archiepiscopi cancellarii nostri apud Norhanton vii. die Iunii, regni nostri anno primo.
