I(ohannes) Dei gratia rex Angl(ie) dominus Hybern(ie) dux Norman(nie) Aquit(anie) comes Andeg(auie) archiepiscopis, episcopis, abbatibus, comitibus, baronibus, iustic(iis), vicecomitibus et omnibus balliuis et fidelibus suis salutem.  Sciat(is) nos concessisse et presenti carta nostra confirmasse venerabili patri nostro in Cristo I(ohanni) Norwic’ episcopo secundo et successoribus suis annuatim unam feriam apud Lenn’ quindecim diesbus duraturam, scilicet vii. diebus ante f(estum) sancte Margar(ete) et ipso die sancte Margar(ete) et vii. diebus post idem festum sancte Margarete.  Quare volumus et firmiter precipimus quod predictus Ioh(anne)s Norwic’ episcopus et successores sui habeant et teneant predictam feriam sic(ut) predictum est bene et in pace, libere et quiete, integre, plenarie et honorifice cum omnibus libertatibus et liberis consuetudinibus ad liberas ferias pertinent(ibus).  Hiis testibus: Simone Well’ archidiacono, Petro de Rupibus thesauarario Pictauis, Willelmo de Rupibus senescallo Andeg’, Willelmo Briwerio, Guarino de Glapion’, Petro de Stokes, Huberto de Burgo camerario nostro.  Datum per manus domini H(uberti) Cantuar’ archiepiscopi cancellarii nostri apud Fissam viii. die Ianuarii anno regni nostri tercio.
