I(ohannes) Dei gratia etc salutem.  Sciatis nos dedisse et presenti carta nostra confirmasse Deo et ecclesie sancte Marie de Osenee et canonicis ibidem Deo seruientibus in puram et perpetuam elemosinam pro salute anime nostre et pro anima patris nostri et omnium antecessorum nostrorum medietatem nemoris de Hildesden scilicet illam partem que extendit se inter riuum qui appellatur Hildesdenebroch et boscum de Acle.  Quare volumus et firmiter precipimus quod predicti canonici habeant et teneant predictam partem prefati nemoris bene et in pace, libere et quiete et honorifice cum omnibus libertatibus et liberis consuetudinibus ad predictum boscum pertinentibus imperpetuum, salua nobis venatione nostra et quod ipsi non possint predictum nemus essartare vel excolere nisi per licentiam nostram.  Testibus Hereberto Saresburiensi episcopo, Gaufrido filio Petri comite Essexie, Willelmo Marescello comite Pembrochie, Willelmo de Brausa, Roberto de Turneham, Hugone de Neuill, Simone de Patershill, Thoma de Sawnford.  Data per manum Simonis archidiaconi Wellensis apud Merleberge, tercio die Maii regni nostri anno tercio.
