Ioh(an)nes Dei gratia rex Angl(ie) dominus Hibern(ie) dux Normandie Aquit(anie) com(e)s Andeg(auie) archiepiscopis, episcopis, abbatibus, comit(ibus), baron(ibus), iustic(iis), vicecom(itibus) et omnibus baill(iuis) et fidelibus suis salutem.  Sciatis quod nos concessimus et in presenti carta nostra confirmamus dilectis et fidelibus nostris burgensibus de Semellion’ quod ipsi co(mun)iam habeant in villa de Semelion’ cum omnibus libertatibus et liberis consuetudinibus ad com(un)iam pertinentibus.  Hiis testibus: Eustac(io) Elyen’, Cauar(ico) Bathen’ episcopis, Willelmo Marescell(o) com(ite) de Penbroc, Petro de Pratell’, Robberto de Tresgor, Guillelmo de Cantilupo.  Datum per manum H(uberti) Cant’ archiepiscopi cancell(arii) nostri apud Fales’ viiiº. die Iulii anno regni nostri primo.
