Notification that the king has granted to St Albans Abbey all cells, lands and possessions, namely the cells of Tynemouth, Binham, Wymondham, Belvoir, Wallingford, Hertford, Hatfield, Beaulieu, and the vill of Watford with its market, Kingsbury, Westwick, Redbourn, Sandridge, Brightwells Farm Tyttenhanger, with the wood of Northaw , which Peter de Valognes held in his lieftime, and Barnet with the woods of ‘Suthawe’, Boreham, ‘Huzehegre’, and the soke of Langley, Cassio, Rickmansworth, Sarratt , Granborough, ‘Wynell’, ‘Siptun’, Horwood with forest and chace, Aston, ‘Bissopestun’, Hexon, Norton et Newnham, Codicote, Walden and ‘Brakeweye’. And `the king grants for the sustenance of the guests’ kitchen the churches of ‘Liuton’, Houghton Regis and ‘Podesgraue’, and the churches of Walden and Appleton in Yorkshire and the church of Watford for making provisions for visitors, and the churches of ‘Titefeld’, Redbourn, Winslow and Langley for clothing the monks, and the curhces of ‘Egnlingeham’and St Stephen’s for the sustenance of the monks’ kitchen, and the lands of ‘Cumb’ and Grinstead in Sussex and of Middleton in Buckinghamshire and the land of Sutton in Bedfordshire, and in Yorkshire  the land of ‘Thorp’ , with the church of that vill, and Norton-le-Clay, and also the lands of the knights who hold from the abbot’s demesne for rendering scutage and other foreign service, namely Croxley, ‘Maklefeld’, Sarratt, Batchworth, Brightwells Farm, Pinesfield Farm, Munden, Childwick, the hide of Langley, ‘Sissenern’, the land of Alexander fitz Thorold, Burston Farm, ‘Wytiring’, and the land of William of Norton,and the land of Hamo the Slipper (Vextarius) and the hide of Harpsfield, and the land of Richard de Reymes, and the land of Robert Taileboys, and also the lands held freely from the abbot, namely the lands of John of Walden in Walden and Theobald Street, and the land of Hog’ of Theobald Street, and 'Viel’, and ‘Theebrigg’, and of Hugh de Badwe,and Elias and Peter of the chamber, and of William of Ayot, and of William de Wicke, and of Nichoals fitz William and Ralph of Harpsfield.
