aI(ohannes) Dei gratia rex Angl(ie) dominus Hib(ernie) dux Norm(annie) Aquit(anie) com(es) And(egauie) omnibus ad quos presens scriptum peruenerit salutema.  Sciatis quod mandauimus dilecto et fideli nostro Hugoni de bNeouill'b quod ipse cfaciatc proficuum nostrum de boscis vendendis et dessartisd dimittendis secundum quod melius nostrum viderit et ad minus detrimentum foreste nostre, et i(de)o volumus et precipimus quod fines stabiles sint qui inde cum eo facti efuerinte et id quod ipse rationabiliter inde fecerit ratum permaneat.  Et in huius rei ftestimonium has litteras nostras patentes ei super hoc transmisimusf.  T(este) me ipso ap(ud) Roth', iii. die Iulii anno regni nostri quinto.
